It’s never too late to straighten your smile, and thanks to Invisalign® treatment, it’s never been more convenient! Invisalign® clear aligners can straighten your smile without any metal brackets or wires - so no one needs to know you’re having treatment.

What is Invisalign® treatment?

Invisalign® treatment uses a series of clear, custom plastic trays called aligners to straighten your smile. Each set of aligners is shaped slightly differently to slowly move your teeth into the desired alignment.

Because the aligners are clear, they are virtually invisible when worn. You can also remove them, so you don’t need to adjust your diet or routine during treatment. As long as you wear them for 20-22 hours a day, you can take them out for meals and important events.

How does Invisalign® treatment work?

When you come in for your free Invisalign® consultation at our practice, we’ll use our state-of-the-art scanner to make a 3D digital model of your smile. Dr Hamilton-Ritchie can use this model to design your completely custom treatment plan from start to finish.

Once your custom aligners are ready, you can complete most of your smile journey from the comfort of home. Dr Hamilton Ritchie will instruct you when to switch to a new set of aligners at home, and can even monitor your progress from afar with the Dental Monitoring app!

Types of Invisalign® treatment

At Ipswich Orthodontics, we offer three types of Invisalign® treatment for adults to choose from. They are:

Invisalign® Comprehensive: This is the full Invisalign® treatment method. It is ideal for major orthodontic cases and is a viable alternative to braces. Comprehensive treatment usually lasts around 18 to 24 months.
Invisalign® Lite: If you only have minor orthodontic issues, Invisalign® Lite can align your front six teeth in six months or less.
Invisalign® Express: For patients with crooked front teeth or other mild misalignments with the front six teeth, Invisalign® Express can achieve results in just three months!

We also offer Invisalign® for teens and Invisalign® First for children ages 6-10. Invisalign® treatment is great for all ages!
